How it helps
English children can be seen and heard modelling spoken English in the context of their everyday lives. Unit 1 starts with some basic, simple language and builds through increasingly more challenging and complicated grammar and idioms. Users are able to practise what they are learning in their own time, at moments convenient to themselves. After the initial introduction, teachers and parents can let the children explore on their own so that they can work at their own pace to become confident and competent learners of English from England.
How it works
All the elements for learning are organised into UNITS. These are carefully graded for continuity of grammar progression but with opportunity for recycling language by revisiting what has already been taught, in different contexts, whilst introducing new words and phrases.
Each UNIT then has carefully designed SECTIONS each with WATCH PRACTISE and PLAY features so that children always know how to approach and navigate the learning.
WATCH See and hear the children speaking on film
PRACTISE Listen and respond to the on line tasks related to the films
PLAY The learners can now show what they now know
The films are sub-titled to enable users to read as well as listen.
